Terms of use and sale
1. Acceptance of terms
By creating an account on Triad Cards Online, you accept these terms. They constitute the contract between you and Codelior Studio. If you do not agree to them, do not use the service.
2. Service description
Triad Cards Online is an online strategy card game played on a 3×3 board, free to access. The service includes matches against the computer and against other players, a collection of 110 cards, a shop and a player-to-player auction house.
3. User account and minimum age
Creating an account requires a valid e-mail address and a date of birth. Registration is open from the age of 15. Below the age of 15, the consent of a holder of parental authority is required (Article 8 GDPR) and real-money purchases are disabled. You are responsible for keeping your credentials confidential.
4. Purchases, virtual currency and right of withdrawal
Trils are a virtual currency usable only within the game. They are neither convertible into real money nor transferable outside the service, and have no monetary value. All prices are shown in euros, all taxes included; Codelior Studio falls under the VAT exemption scheme (Article 293 B of the French General Tax Code), so VAT is not applicable.
Right of withdrawal — You have a period of fourteen (14) days from your purchase to withdraw, without having to give a reason (Article L221-18 of the French Consumer Code). In accordance with Article L221-28 13°, this right lapses if you have expressly requested immediate performance of the digital content AND expressly waived your right of withdrawal: both consents are requested separately before each payment, and are timestamped. As long as a pack has not been opened, withdrawal remains possible.
Refunds — A purchase that was not credited, a pack that was not delivered or a proven malfunction gives rise to a full refund. For any request, write to contact@codelior-studio.fr or open a ticket in Support.
Legal guarantee — The legal guarantee of conformity for digital content and services (Articles L217-3 et seq. of the French Consumer Code) applies as of right and cannot be set aside.
Random packs — Packs with random contents display their drop rates before purchase. Every pack purchasable in euros can also be obtained with Trils earned by playing.
5. Conduct and moderation
The following are prohibited: cheating, exploiting bugs, using automated software, harassment, unlawful speech, and reselling accounts or in-game items for real money.
Reporting — Any unlawful content or behaviour can be reported from within the game (the "Report" button on a player's profile) or by e-mail to contact@codelior-studio.fr. Every report is reviewed and its author receives a reasoned reply.
Sanctions and appeals — An account restriction (warning, temporary suspension, deletion) is subject to a notification stating the grounds, the alleged facts and the basis on which it is taken. You may contest it within thirty (30) days by replying to that notification or by writing to contact@codelior-studio.fr; the decision is then re-examined by a natural person. You retain the right to bring the matter before the competent court.
6. Intellectual property
All content on the site — code, illustrations, texts, music, setting and card names — is an original creation, the property of Codelior Studio, protected by intellectual property law. Any reproduction or reuse without written authorisation is prohibited. The Cinzel and Inter typefaces are used under the SIL Open Font License 1.1.
7. Liability
Codelior Studio uses reasonable means to ensure the availability and security of the service, without guaranteeing uninterrupted or error-free operation.
Codelior Studio's liability cannot be limited in the event of personal injury, gross negligence or wilful misconduct, nor under the legal guarantees of conformity. It may, however, be excluded for indirect damage that was unforeseeable at the time the contract was concluded.
In the event of a prolonged interruption attributable to the service, purchases made and not consumed are refunded or re-credited.
8. Changes to the terms and service closure
These terms may be amended. Any substantial change is notified in-game at least thirty (30) days before it takes effect. If you refuse the new terms, you may terminate your account free of charge and obtain a refund of your unconsumed purchases.
Should the service be permanently discontinued, the announcement is made at least sixty (60) days in advance and unconsumed purchases made in euros are refunded.
9. Applicable law and disputes
These terms are governed by French law. Before any legal action, please contact us at contact@codelior-studio.fr to seek an amicable solution. You may also use the European online dispute resolution platform: ec.europa.eu/consumers/odr. The details of the competent consumer mediator are given in the legal notice. Failing agreement, the French courts have jurisdiction.
